Accountant, Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Temecula, California. This role involves supporting various accounting functions within the construction industry, requiring a keen attention to detail and familiarity with Sage 300 software. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

- Post deposits and manage journal entries with precision and timeliness.

- Process invoices, issue checks, and handle accounts payable tasks.

- Assist with property tax payments and tenant billing management.

- Support the filing of Form 3522 and ensure timely submissions.

- Reconcile financial statements and provide light reporting as needed.

- Maintain organized records for accounts payable and related documents.

- Provide administrative assistance for project management activities.

- Monitor promissory notes and entity agreements to ensure compliance.

- Utilize Sage 300 software for construction accounting tasks and reporting. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.

- Proficiency in Sage 300 software is essential.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, general ledger, and accounts receivable processes.

- Demonstrated experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with residential construction accounting practices.

- Ability to manage financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
