Public Accounting, Tax Accountant
We're working with an independent CPA firm in the Temecula / SW Riverside County corridor that's looking to add a Tax Associate with minimum 1+ years of public accounting under their belt.
This firm isn't PE-backed and has no plans to sell. No private equity layer - partners still run client relationships directly, and the firm is small enough that your work is visible to the people who make partner decisions.
What it looks like- Individual, partnership, and business returns across a genuinely mixed client base - real estate, agribusiness, manufacturing, HNW individuals
- Direct exposure to multi-state and complex-client work earlier than you'd typically get at a larger shop
- Genuine opportunity to progress as you become more experienced
- 1+ years of public accounting experience with a tax focus
- CPA‑track (licensed or actively working toward it)
- Comfortable with standard tax software and workpaper discipline - training on firm-specific systems provided
- Based in or able to commute within the SW Riverside County corridor
- Genuinely interested in building a career at one firm, not just stacking a resume
- Associates at national or PE-backed firms who've noticed how much distance now sits between them and the partners
- Anyone who wants technical breadth and closer mentorship vs sheer volume
- People thinking about where they want to be in five years, not just where they can get a bump this year
If this sounds interesting, either apply or message me directly. Happy to talk through fit and expectations before anything formal.
Not quite the right fit, but exploring what's out there?Get in touch anyway.
