Position Overview
Temecula Valley Toyota is seeking a Service Technician to work in a fast‑paced environment, servicing and repairing vehicles as directed by management. The role includes ensuring quality repairs, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, following shop policies, and communicating with service advisors to keep customers informed.
Responsibilities- Effectively and accurately perform quality repair work in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Check all fluids and maintenance‑related parts, topping off or replacing fluids or filters or parts as required.
- Perform routine service inspections or tests and complete standard maintenance jobs.
- Road‑test vehicles to ensure quality repair work was completed.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles while performing service or repairs.
- Ensure required documentation is complete and compliant with regulations and standards.
- Follow all shop policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules.
- Help maintain shop appearance, safety, and efficient workflow through duties such as inventory stocking and other general tasks.
- Attend all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required.
- Complete system diagnostics and full automotive troubleshooting and testing.
- Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
- Communicate directly with service advisors regarding status of service work and estimated time for completion so customers are informed.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions to keep up with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company’s values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience as a Service Technician.
- Able to drive both automatic and standard‑transmission vehicles.
- ASE certification or certified in specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems, or engine performance (preferred).
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to remain composed under stress.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for professional interaction with customers, vendors, and staff.
- Safety and customer‑service oriented.
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Self‑motivated with solid work habits.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
