Description

Solex Contracting, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Traveling Construction Superintendent for a full-time role traveling across various states. This position involves overseeing day-to-day operations at construction sites, managing subcontractors and staff, ensuring safety compliance, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities include coordinating with project teams, monitoring progress to meet deadlines, and resolving any on-site challenges to maintain high-quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience in the construction field. Formal education may substitute some field experience requirements.
  • Broad knowledge of all phases of commercial construction and trades.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, and structural systems.
  • Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, materials, and associated costs.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills including programs such as Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of building and maintaining effective relationships with team members, vendors, and clients.
  • Flexible work schedule, including availability for nights and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Willingness to travel out of town as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation."
