ABOUT ASSOCIATE FACULTY
Associate Instructor (Nursing Science/Clinical) positions are available on an ongoing basis. Qualified candidates will be referred for interview as needs arise. The position is covered by Union Local 9119 AFL-CIO.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Deliver instruction in assigned course through lectures and laboratory sessions in accordance with district-approved curriculum.
- Prepare and communicate a course syllabus outlining requirements, evaluation procedures, attendance and participation expectations.
- Teach and engage students from diverse backgrounds, supporting inclusive learning environments.
- Advise students on academic and career matters.
- Maintain accurate attendance, scholastic, and student records and submit them per published guidelines.
- Prepare, grade, and provide feedback on class assignments and evaluations in line with the course syllabus.
- Maintain currency in the field of nursing science and clinical practice.
- Develop, maintain, and evaluate curriculum, including program-level learning outcomes.
- Promote student success through scholarship of teaching and learning.
