• Must possess a valid CA Clear Multiple Subject (K-8) Credential.

• Must possess a full (ELA1) English Learner Authorization/CLAD Certificate.

The employee is expected to maintain a high-speed internet connection. This assignment may include a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) student on the roster. Candidates must either hold appropriate authorization to teach TK or be willing to obtain the required Early Childhood Education (ECE) units to meet the eligibility criteria in accordance with state guidelines within 2 years of hire. All candidates must reside within Sacramento, Shasta, Tahoma, or Sutter Counties.

Teachers in the Connection Academy are responsible for student engagement in a distance learning environment. They will provide daily synchronous instruction, small group intervention, ELD instruction, conduct PLP meetings as assigned, manage the complete educational experience for each student, review student learning, create online portfolios, proctor assessments, create report cards, and assign grades.
