Required Education and/or

Experience:

1. High School Diploma or the equivalent; and two (2) years of experience working within a classroom setting, Youth Coaching, Educational Volunteering preferred 2. or Associates Degree
3. Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills, and 4. Demonstrate desire and experience working successfully with students exhibiting behavior problems in the classroom.

The Teacher's Aide, aka Assistant Classroom Educator (ACE), works directly with a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of middle school students; assists teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; provides behavior support and life skills instruction for students during lunch and recess duty.
