Required Education and/or

Experience:

1. High School Diploma or the equivalent; and two (2) years of experience working within a classroom setting, Youth Coaching, Educational Volunteering preferred 2. or Associates Degree
3. Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills, and 4. Demonstrate desire and experience working successfully with students exhibiting behavior problems in the classroom. Tutoring experience and/or working with students preferred.

The Teacher's Aide aka Assistant Classroom Educator (ACE) works directly with a certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of middle school students; assists teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; provides behavior support and life skills instruction for students during lunch and recess duty.
