Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing practice. This position is hybrid and can be local to one of our offices in San Diego, Temecula, or Palm Desert.

• Manage geotechnical investigations for major development/construction projects
• Supervise and mentor staff engineers and technicians
• Familiar with Caltrans Standard Specifications; train staff in basic engineering procedures and techniques
• Prepare and present proposals, scopes of work and budgets for new projects
• Prepare and/or review technical reports
• Interpret laboratory test data for use in engineering analyses
• Supervise engineering analyses for foundation design, slope stability and seismic hazards
• Review grading and foundation plans for conformance with recommendations
• Develop and maintain an active client base

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or engineering geology
• 7+ years of experience in managing geotechnical aspects of land development and construction projects
• California Registered Civil Engineer (RCE/PE)
• Geotechnical Engineer (GE) is preferred
• Strong organization and written/oral communication skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and industry peers

• Minimum salary $125,000 (negotiable based on the criteria presented above)
