Power Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for executing the day-to-day accounting operations across the entire account cycle. This position requires a versatile, detail oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This role is hybrid and requires onsite in Temecula CA 3 days per week.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable including invoice intake, coding, approvals, vendor setup and payment processing.
- Handle Accounts Receivable functions such as customer invoicing, payment application, collections follow up and aging management.
- Process employee expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, accruals and adjustments
- Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits ensuring compliance
- Review of customer credit applications
- Validate and manage sales tax filings.
- Prepare recurring sales reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare inventory purchase orders and track inbound shipments.
- Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed to support the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
- A minimum of 4 years’ full-time accounting experience is required
- Demonstrated ERP system competency; knowledge of Net Suite preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and full accounting cycle.
- Advanced Excel skills are required
- Self-motivation and direction with ability to prioritize
- Highly proficient in report building, database utilities and ERP systems
- Must have strong communication skills and be highly deadline and detail oriented

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as arithmetic, statistics, probability, financial mathematics and cost accounting.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
COMPUTER SKILLS
High level of proficiency in Microsoft office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires the incumbent to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally and regularly requires walking, sitting, talking, and using hands to finger, handle or feel.
The employee may occasionally lift, push or pull up to 30 pounds and must be able to carry, lift and move a range of devices, boxes and travel cases if travel is required. The employee will be required to use a computer for extended periods of time and talk on the phone.
Specific vision abilities required by this job are close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
