About this location:

This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Temecula, CA. It is in the heart of Southern California’s beautiful Temecula Valley, known for award‑winning wineries, vibrant Old Town, and a strong sense of community. Our hotel sits just minutes from shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor recreation, offering team members a perfect balance between work and lifestyle. do we need you?

To perform a combination of duties in an efficient, quiet, and effective manner which facilitates food service and thereby provides a positive impression for the guest.

What you will do:
  • Clears, cleans, and resets tables and surrounding areas.
  • Carries dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen.
  • Replenishes supply of clean silverware, glassware, dishes, and other utensils in dining room.
  • Stocks all cold food items on dining room buffet and replenishes coffee urns, milk and juice dispensers as needed.
  • Serves coffee and ice water refills to patrons.
  • Cleans and polishes equipment such as coffee urns, juice and milk dispensers, high chairs, booster seats and sneeze guards.
  • Conducts “hall runs” to pick up dishes and trays on guest floors.
  • May assist in employee break room cleaning and stocking of food during employee lunch hours.
  • Responsible for guest relations and courtesy when asked for help, directions, or registering a complaint.
  • Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
  • Required to always be in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
  • All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
  • Skills and abilities:
    • Carry out specific oral or written instructions, frequently following a simple routine.
    • Perform the same task over and over, frequently in the same way.
    • Deal with the public, customers, employees, union and government officials with tact and courtesy.
    • Stand and walk for long periods of time.
    • Lift and carry items such as trays or dishes.
    • Use hands and fingers skillfully and easily.
    Physical demands

    Medium work. Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree. Working at a production rate pace entails constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight is negligible.

    Requirements
    • High school completion or an equivalent level of education and experience.
