The Human Resources Specialist plays a key role in supporting and implementing various human resources programs and initiatives. This position involves assisting with the day-to-day operations of the various teams ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, and providing support to employees and the leadership team regarding HR policies and procedures. The HR Specialist collaborates with the hiring team to attract, develop, and retain a skilled and diverse workforce.
Payroll- Process payroll and ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Assist with conflict resolution and investigations related to employee complaints or disciplinary issues.
- Promote positive employee relations by fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment.
- Handle employee inquiries and concerns, ensuring prompt and appropriate resolution.
- Support the performance review process, ensuring timely and constructive feedback is provided to employees.
- Assist in identifying training and development needs based on performance reviews and organizational goals.
- Help coordinate employee training programs and track participation and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
- Manage internal HR documents and policies to ensure up to date compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collect and analyze HR data to support decision-making and HR strategy development.
- Prepare regular HR reports, including employee turnover, retention, and other key HR metrics.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance.
- Support with employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist with compensation-related activities, such as job evaluations and salary surveys.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
- Assist staff in troubleshooting common computer issues or concerns.
- Maintaining databases and ensuring system security.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule and travel to other practice locations throughout the county.
- Proficiency and knowledge to provide technical support and resolve general IT issues.
- Understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Experience in recruitment is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.
