Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician
Overview
Cabinet Maker is responsible for building and maintaining all cabinets, furniture and related equipment throughout the Facility under the direction of the Cabinet Shop Supervisor and/or assigned Cabinet Maker II. Provides support with minimal instruction or supervision in accordance with the standards of Pechanga Resort Casino.
Four Diamond Service AgreementAll Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Guest Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort Casino (PRC).
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate staff assigned to the manufacture and repair of Furniture Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E).
- Use automated machinery such as computerized numerical control (CNC) machines.
- Set up, operate, maintain and tend CNC Router, CNC Bore and Dowel, CNC Edge bander, Case Clamp, and various hand tools including routers, sanders, screw guns, and wood-nailing machines.
- Fit parts together using glue and clamps; reinforce joints with nails or screws; trim joints; sand wooden surfaces; apply veneer or polish to finished products; repair or restyle wooden furniture or fixtures; make outlines or dimensions on wood.
- Build, maintain, and install all cabinetry using trade skills.
- Utilize available resources to accomplish daily tasks.
- Proactively use best practices in manufacture and repair of assigned projects.
- Adhere to safety policies, procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Complete assigned projects to accepted standards on time using provided tools and materials.
- Maintain proper operation of equipment and all associated mechanical and electrical systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. The Team Member is responsible for protecting the assets of PRC.
Qualifications and Guidelines Education / Experience / Training1‑year certificate from college or technical school is preferred;
Three years of experience with Cabinet Shop equipment and associated systems, and must be able to read blueprints; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required to successfully perform the duties of the job.
Reading simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; writing simple correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients and Team Members.
Mathematical SkillsCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityApply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; work with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations- Must qualify to obtain and maintain a class “A” gaming license.
- Valid California Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate and repair all Cabinet Shop specific tools and equipment.
- Ability to communicate with all Team Members and management personnel.
- Good organization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self‑starter who is highly motivated and resourceful.
- Positive attitude in a fast‑paced and culturally diverse casino environment.
- Takes direction and follows through with assigned tasks.
- Flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
