Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure a safe, well-maintained and comfortable environment for guests and associates. This role supervises maintenance associates and vendors, manages preventative maintenance programs, ensures compliance with safety, building and regulatory requirements, and supports the Hotel Manager in maintaining AAA Four‑Diamond standards.

$29.00-$30.00 hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision
  • Supervise, direct and support maintenance associates
  • Interview, hire, train, coach and counsel maintenance associates
Property Maintenance & Operations
  • Perform and oversee routine preventative maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas including minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing and carpentry work
    Repair and maintain operational equipment including fountains, ovens, pool equipment and water heaters
  • Coordinate scheduled and preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure ALICE work orders are completed timely and documented accurately
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure timely return of out-of-service rooms and equipment
Safety, Compliance & Inspections
  • Ensure the safety of guests and associates at all times
  • Monitor compliance with building safety codes, health and safety laws and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs and review findings with the Hotel Manager
  • Inspect and log safety equipment including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, lock‑out tag‑out stations, extension cords and ladder labels
  • Handle and store hazardous materials in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate in safety training and maintain required records
Vendor, Budget & Administrative Oversight
  • Report major repair needs to the Hotel Manager
  • Schedule, coordinate and oversee outside vendors while on property
  • Maintain maintenance department records including contracts and warranties
  • Complete and submit purchase order requests
  • Maintain maintenance-related accounting procedures to control expenses and inventory
  • Manage hotel key control program including issuance and recordkeeping
Quality Standards & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct weekly property walkthroughs to ensure standards are exceeded
    Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Support compliance with AAA Four‑Diamond rating guidelines
    Perform additional duties as assigned by your Manager.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or lead maintenance experience
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret building plans and technical documentation
  • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • Energetic, proactive and self‑motivated
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends or on‑call as needed
  • Basic computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook and web‑based maintenance systems
