- Advancing the I-15 Wildlife Crossing initiative
- Strengthening regional wildfire resilience
- Supporting agricultural producers through irrigation efficiency programs
- Holding and stewarding conservation easements and expanding our easement portfolio
- Providing mitigation services for lands impacted by development
- Pursuing innovative cleanup and restoration funding opportunities
TEAMRCD is entering an exciting phase of growth driven by major grant momentum and expanding partnerships, including close collaboration with NRCS and regional stakeholders.
Position OverviewTEAMRCD is seeking a highly motivated District Manager / Project Manager to help lead the District’s next phase of growth. This unique role combines organizational leadership with hands‑on project delivery for a major regional wildlife connectivity initiative.

Key Responsibilities District Management- Serve as the District’s primary operational leader
, advancing Board priorities and ensuring effective day-to-day management of District activities - Manage and oversee District programs and projects to ensure alignment with Board direction, grant requirements, and strategic goals
- Lead annual and multi-year budget development, monitoring, and fiscal stewardship in coordination with the Board of Directors
- Oversee personnel management functions, including supervision, performance management, and support for future organizational growth
- Strengthen and formalize organizational systems, procedures, and internal controls appropriate to a growing public agency
- Serve as the District’s primary public interface with partner agencies, landowners, funders, and community stakeholders
- Actively identify and cultivate new project, funding, and partnership opportunities that advance the District’s mission
- Support and facilitate effective Board operations, including agenda development, reporting, and policy implementation
- Represent TEAMRCD in regional forums and collaborative initiatives to expand the District’s visibility and impact
- Manage and advance the District’s I-15 Wildlife Crossing project toward approximately 65% design
- Coordinate and oversee technical consultants, contracts, and project schedules
- Support grant compliance, reporting, and milestone tracking associated with the wildlife crossing initiative
- Facilitate coordination among partner agencies, stakeholders, and technical teams
- Monitor project risks, budget alignment, and deliverable quality
- Support environmental review and permitting coordination as applicable
- Prepare clear project status updates for the Board of Directors
- Support positioning of the wildlife crossing project for future implementation phases
- Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, environmental science, public administration, planning, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience managing complex projects or programs
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with grants, public agencies, or conservation programs preferred
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with Resource Conservation Districts, NRCS programs, or similar conservation entities
- Familiarity with California conservation and environmental programs
- Experience with conservation easements or land-based mitigation
- Project management certification or equivalent experience
