Job Description – Semiconductor Production Planner
Overview:

A Semiconductor Production Planner coordinates and optimizes the flow of materials, and production schedules within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role ensures that production targets are met on time, within budget, and at the required quality standards, while minimizing downtime and bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Scheduling: Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to meet customer delivery dates and manufacturing capacity.
  • Material Planning: Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, wafers, and components.
  • Workflow Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure smooth production flow and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Capacity Management: Assess equipment availability, maintenance schedules, and labor resources to optimize throughput.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track production metrics, analyze variances, and recommend process improvements.
  • Change Management: Adjust plans in response to design changes, urgent orders, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensure production plans align with industry standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or high‑tech production planning preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
