Maintenance Technician

Support maintenance operations in a high-volume manufacturing plant, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance and equipment reliability. This role will spend the majority of time completing PMs while also supporting reactive maintenance as needed. Technicians will work on automated production equipment, including conveyors and machinery used in window/door or vinyl manufacturing, and utilize the Fiix CMMS system to track and document all work.

The role also includes troubleshooting PLCs, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with external vendors to complete repairs and improvement projects.

• Perform preventative maintenance (~80%) and reactive maintenance (~20%) on manufacturing equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including PLCs and automated equipment
• Use Fiix CMMS to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment status
• Conduct root cause analysis to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
• Maintain plant utilities including lighting, water, and drainage systems
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to diagnose issues
• Coordinate with vendors (Joseph Machine Company, Erdman, GD) on equipment repairs and upgrades
• Support inventory tracking by identifying required parts and materials
• Ensure all work is completed safely in compliance with OSHA and company standards (LOTO, PPE, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with maintenance team and leadership on equipment status and priorities
• Mentor and train junior technicians as needed

• 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in window/door or vinyl manufacturing environments
• Experience working with automated equipment and conveyors
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• PLC troubleshooting experience
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems (Fiix or similar)
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints
• Knowledge of industrial systems including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Strong understanding of safety standards (OSHA, LOTO, PPE)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Technical or trade school degree
• Experience working with vendors:
  Joseph Machine Company (JMC), Erdman Automation, GED Integrated Solutions,
• Experience working with vendor-supported equipment or OEM machinery
• Previous experience training or mentoring junior technicians
