About the Role We're hiring a Production Supervisor to lead first shift operations in our Soft Chews manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing multiple production lines while leading a team of Production Leads and front-line associates. The Production Supervisor is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while leading, coaching, and developing a team of Production Leads and approximately 25-30 front-line associates.
This role oversees day-to-day production activities, drives operational performance, and ensures compliance with SQF, GMP, food safety, and quality standards. Success in this role requires balancing daily production priorities with employee development, problem solving, and continuous improvement while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and quality.

The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and problem solver who remains calm under pressure, makes sound operational decisions, and successfully leads change in a fast-paced, SQF-certified manufacturing environment. CoreResponsibilities People Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and develop approximately 25–30 front-line associates while promoting accountability, employee engagement, and professional development.
- Mentor and develop Production Leads to strengthen frontline leadership capability and support effective shift execution.
- Ensure team members receive appropriate onboarding, training, and ongoing development to perform their work safely, effectively, and in compliance with Company and SQF requirements.
- Monitor attendance, conduct, and performance, providing timely coaching, recognition, and corrective action, as appropriate, to address performance and behavioral concerns.
- Review and approve employee time records and time off requests in a timely manner to ensure accurate timekeeping, payroll processing, staffing coverage, and compliance with Company policies.
- Maintain a regular and visible presence on the production floor to provide direction, remove obstacles, monitor progress, and reinforce safety, quality, and performance expectations.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and schedule attainment goals.
- Resolve production issues, adjust staffing and resources as needed, and make sound operational decisions to maintain efficient workflow.
- Identify operational challenges, analyze production performance, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions while encouraging employee involvement in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote and reinforce compliance with SQF requirements, GMPs, food safety standards, documentation requirements, and Company policies.
- Promote safe work practices by identifying hazards, addressing safety concerns, and supporting a proactive safety culture.
- Partner with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Safety, HR, and fellow Supervisors to resolve issues, improve processes, and achieve departmental objectives.
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, such as experience as a Lead or Supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop front-line teams while managing performance and promoting accountability.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, timekeeping systems, and production reporting tools.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment; experience in an SQF-certified, food, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or similar regulated environment is preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement experience.
- Experience leading change initiatives and implementing process improvements.
