Job Title
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Sample prep, including micro cleaves, metal coating, precision polishing
• Operating the FIB - Focused Ion Beam (Thermo Fischer)
• Duties also include interfacing with internal customers (engineers) to confirm requirements and provide recommendations and guidance for the best sample preparation and SEM/FIB applications.
• Manage LAB WIP and report on status and sample completion forecasting
• Organize reports and publish results
Qualifications & Skills:
• Experienced Semiconductor Fab Operations/Manufacturing Technician with a commitment to quality output.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred
• Two to five years of experience operating a secondary electron microscope (SEM) and focused ion beam (FIB).
• Proven ability to work independently on weekend/off-shift hours
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) are necessary.
• Previous experience working with manufacturing is required, semiconductor industry is a plus
• Must have experience working for a start-up/small company
• Must have a positive, can-do attitude.

Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in a temperature-controlled, open cubicle setting. Frequent interruptions and conversational noise can be expected. This role may also require occasional work in a manufacturing or cleanroom environment.

Compensation and Benefits
Skorpios embraces a Total Compensation philosophy that includes a base salary and eligibility for overtime for non-exempt roles.

Expected salary range: $35 – $40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
The actual starting rate will be determined based on role-related criteria, including educational qualifications or equivalent experience, relevant work history, and the skills required for the role.
