Process Technician

The hourly rate pay for this position at Scotts will generally fall between $32.60 - 46.75 per hour and is paid weekly. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Molding Technician to join our Molding Process team in Temecula. In this role, you will be responsible to start-up and maintain engineering defined molding processes, accurately document issues with tools / processes / and equipment, maintain tool PM and equipment PM, and assist with tool set-ups. Will require experience to work with Injection Molding Machines Robots and be proficient with IML.

Must have experience in working with IMM’s of 70 ton to 1500 ton capacity from a variety of brands.

• Technical Configuration:
  Starts up the process for a new tool set-up to the engineering defined process and monitors up-time of equipment.
• Completes assigned machine and tool PM’s.
• Accurately documents any issues with the tool/equipment / material / or process in Mold Process Book.
• Material Management:
  Required to load raw materials into hoppers and manage specifications per technical and compliance requirements.
• Inspection:
  Monitors production runs for accuracy, alignment, and QA compliance of aesthetics, colors, defects, and boundary definitions.
• Real-Time Problem Solving:
  Diagnose and resolve processing issues during live production.
• Preventative Maintenance:
  Clean molds and EOAT as required, lubricate molds, and perform routine equipment checks.
• Cross-Functional Support:
  Assist with general molding maintenance tasks when not operating equipment. This includes but is not limited to automation, grinding, cooling system, and other facility areas. Performs other duties as necessary.
• Safety:
  Strict adherence to all safety protocols and equipment maintenance schedules. Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping tools and equipment clean and the work area free of debris and parts. Must be able to get forklift internal certification.

• Experience:
  
  Previous experience operating and troubleshooting injection molding equipment, including IML, 3-axis robots, and 2-shot technology.

  Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Tool Proficiency:
  High proficiency with hand tools and precision inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, and gauges).
• Ability to lift heavy raw materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physical maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to lift, push and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, stoop and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work the required shift and be able to work overtime and weekend when required.
