EssentialJob Duties
The Registered Nurse‑CVOR performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient's clinical presentation, diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation. The RN identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient's responses to previous care. The RN initiates discharge planning upon admission, performs interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, and assists the physician with operating room procedures, including cardio‑thoracic surgery and coronary artery bypass surgery.
The RN sets up cases and maintains sterility in the operating room per AORN guidelines.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience circulating for cardio‑thoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Registered Nurse with a current California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Current PALS (AHA) certification preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
