Registered Nurse-CVOR-Surgery

• Perform initial assessment appropriate to the patient’s clinical presentation, diagnosis, care setting, age, developmental level, cultural and religious orientation.
• Identify and prioritize the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation, care setting, desire for care, and responses.
• Initiate discharge planning for each patient upon admission as appropriate.
• Perform interventions identified for each nursing diagnosis on the interdisciplinary plan of care.
• Assist the physician with procedures in the operating room, including cardiothoracic and coronary artery bypass surgery, and maintain sterility per AORN guidelines.

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience circulating for cardiothoracic/coronary artery bypass surgery.
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Certified Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current PALS (AHA) certification preferred.
• CNOR certification preferred.
