Join our team as a QC Technician – ensuring excellence in quality and safety!

Are you dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in manufacturing? We're seeking a detail-oriented QC Technician to play a vital role in our production processes, helping us deliver safe, effective, and top-quality products.

About the role:

As a QC Technician, you'll be the frontline defender of quality, responsible for monitoring and controlling the safety and integrity of our products—ranging from tablets and powders to liquids and soft chews. Your key responsibilities include performing meticulous inspections, testing raw materials and finished goods, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. Your proactive approach and keen attention to detail will help maintain our reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct real-time quality checks on in-process production lines, ensuring products such as tablets, powders, soft chews, and liquids meet stringent specifications.
  • Perform hourly inspections and testing to verify product consistency and safety.
  • Verify packaging accuracy, correct labeling, and proper lot number assignment.
  • Collaborate closely with production, sanitation, and quality teams to prevent contamination and maintain a clean, safe facility environment.
  • Document inspection findings meticulously, reporting discrepancies or non-conformances to Quality Management without delay.
  • Enforce adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and SOPs to uphold food safety standards.
  • Collect and analyze samples for testing and retention to support quality assurance processes.
  • Actively participate in internal audits, calibration of testing equipment, and investigations to continuously improve quality systems.
  • Exercise authority to halt production when safety or quality concerns arise, escalating issues as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months to 1 year of quality control or related experience preferred; experience in nutritional or food manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of cGMP practices and quality assurance procedures.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively across departments and with external partners.

Ideal candidate attributes:

  • Diligent, dependable, and committed to safety and quality.
  • Comfortable reading SOPs and operating instructions across various formats.
  • Proven ability to enforce safety standards and support a contamination-free manufacturing environment.
