  • Pay Rate: $47.00 $ 50.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM

Job Summary

As an integral part of an innovation team, the R&D Scientist provides much-needed new product development and scale-up capacity for the realization of the R&D mission. Under the supervision of a Sr. Scientist or R&D leaders, the scientist will contribute to new drug delivery technology and assay development and scale-up for reproducible and sustainable production methods and procedures. The scientist is expected to set a high-quality standard for accuracy, in following good laboratory practices, and in complying with all safety regulations.

This role is primary laboratory-based, focusing on drug conjugate synthesis and characterization within an R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operational Workflow

  • Morning Planning:
    Dedicate approximately 1 hour to planning experiments and laboratory logistics.
  • Execution Phase:
    Perform conjugation and various chemical reactions at the bench.
  • Afternoon Phase:
    Focus on purification processes.
  • Follow-up & Characterization:
    Analyze conjugates and perform cell studies. This cycle typically spans a 1 2 week period.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop hands-on skills and expertise in drug conjugate synthesis and characterization
  • Maintain knowledge & expertise in technical areas of formulation characterization and assay development
  • Expand experiences in immunology and chemical biology
  • Engage with the internal innovation team in formulating project concepts
  • Validate technical prototypes
  • Perform result analysis
  • Document all the innovation work
  • Support product launch and post-launch follow-ups
  • Collaborate with group members and stakeholders
  • Lend insights into drug discovery and virtual demos
Required Skills
  • HPLC: Expert-level proficiency is essential
  • Laboratory Techniques: Cell Culture, Cell and biochemical assays, flow cytometry, DLS, Western blot
  • Prototypes: Ability to validate technical prototypes and perform routine analytical tasks
  • Specialized Knowledge: Drug conjugate synthesis, characterization, immunology, and chemical biology
  • High level of collaboration within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills to articulate findings and coordinate experimental cycles
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in peptide/protein characterization and bioassay is preferred
  • Experience with peptide/protein chemistry and nanoformulation development is a plus
  • Experience in chemical biology with reasonable knowledge in immunology is a plus
Education Requirements
  • PhD in Biomaterials, Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Molecular Biology, or related discipline (required)
Required Experience
  • 2 3 years of professional experience in an R&D setting
  • Profile: A scientist with a strong focus on bench-work and hands-on laboratory execution
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • On-site, 100% laboratory work
