Sales Associate

Overview

Five Below is looking for part‑time Sales Associates to join our team, delivering outstanding customer service and driving strong sales.

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions and making recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns, offering alternative solutions and turning returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management about restocking, service requirements and customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support the team and company goals by collaborating to achieve overall store objectives.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available for a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices.
• Good communicator capable of engaging customers and handling interactions politely and professionally.
• Basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate the cash register.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5‑10 feet.
• Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock.
• Position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face‑to‑face, as well as with managers and coworkers.
• Move across the sales floor assisting customers and retrieving/putting away merchandise from the stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends and occasional overnight shifts and travel as required.
• Identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remain in a stationary, upright position for approximately 80% of the time.
