Customer Service & Retail Sales Floor - Commons at Temecula Rack

Job Description

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you'll continuously move and collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. You'll ensure a quick and easy customer experience, keep the store clean and clutter-free, and maintain flexibility in working across different areas of the store.

• Work with the team to keep the sales floor "runway ready", through re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers when cashiering across multiple platforms (in‑store, online, mobile), operating a point‑of‑sale system, bagging items of all sizes, and handling bulky items.
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers; sort and return clothing to the floor.
• Maintain a clean, clutter‑free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all store technologies and adhere to operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Receive, unload freight, unpack, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders, following packing and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

• Flexibility to work a schedule based on business needs.

• Continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching to handle merchandise and assist customers.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Lifting items weighing up to 10pounds, occasionally up to 25pounds (Stock & Fulfillment only: up to 25pounds, occasionally up to 50pounds).

Hourly: $18.85 – $19.65.
