Sales Consultant

Overview

Sales Consultant at La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries, Temecula, CA. Responsible for high‑end furniture sales, design consultations, and building lasting client relationships.

• Guide high‑end clients through a premium sales experience.
• Create inspired spaces with world‑class furniture and decor.
• Curate luxury looks while earning commissions with no ceiling.
• Maintain strong product knowledge and follow the La‑Z‑Boy selling process.
• Provide the highest level of customer service and follow up on all inquiries.
• Support the design program by scheduling professional home consultations and presenting customized room designs.
• Assist with visual merchandising, store maintenance, and operating procedures, including opening/closing the store, order entry, and system logs.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling or retail experience, preferably in luxury goods.
• Excellent communication, customer‑service, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills and ability to build rapport.
• Proven persuasion and closing abilities.
• Excellent time‑management and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and strong closing ability preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and influence positively.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Initiative to meet assigned goals, missions, and objectives and motivation to achieve more.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.

• Training Pay: $21.00 per hour for 2‑6 weeks (no commission).
• After Training:
  Base pay $18.00 per hour + uncapped commission on written sales (3% on Design Sales, 2% on other sales).
• Quarterly bonus opportunity of $1,500 based on meeting individual sales goals.
• Potential earnings for top performers: $60,000–$80,000+ annually.
• Weekly hours: 40.
