The Temecula Valley Hospital Security Guard is responsible for protecting the life and property of all persons on the hospital premises. Primary duties include patrolling buildings and grounds of the hospital to prevent fires, theft and vandalism.
EssentialJob Duties
- The Security Guard is responsible for inspecting doors, windows, and locks to determine level of security.
- Ensures only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises.
- Escorts visitors, patients and personnel to and from parking areas with consideration for age‑specific needs.
- Patrols parking areas to detect any irregularities.
- Responds to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative patients and demonstrates age‑specific responses in these situations.
- Inspects outgoing parcels as necessary to prevent theft of hospital property.
- 2‑5 years’ experience in the field of law enforcement and/or security or equivalent (preferred).
- High School Graduate/Equivalent (preferred).
- Current Guard Card required.
- Assaultive Behavior Management certification required within 45 days of hire.
- Current CA driver’s license required.
