Responsibilities
Security Guard:
The Temecula Valley Hospital Security Guard is responsible for protecting life and property of all persons on the hospital premises. Primary duties include patrolling buildings and grounds of the hospital to prevent fires, theft and vandalism.
Job Duties
- Inspect doors, windows, and locks to determine level of security and ensure only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises.
- Escort visitors, patients, and personnel to and from parking areas, considering age-specific needs.
- Patrol parking areas to detect irregularities.
- Respond to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly conduct or combative patients, demonstrating age-specific responses.
- Inspect outgoing parcels as necessary to prevent theft of hospital property.
- Two years of experience in law enforcement and/or security or equivalent preferred.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Current Guard Card required
. - Assaultive Behavior Management certification required within 45 days of hire.
- Current CA driver’s license required
. - Works inside and outside in cold, hot, wet conditions subject to temperature fluctuations and noise levels required
