Reporting StructureReporting to the Plant Ops Manager, the Senior Tech – HVAC Maintenance Worker will complete high‑priority work orders and perform service and repairs on HVAC/R, boiler, plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment, and other hospital critical systems.
EssentialJob Duties
- Maintain tools and equipment and keep work areas clean and stocked.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance on all major equipment.
- Maintain 100% adherence to department inspection schedules and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with codes and regulatory agency requirements.
- Notify supervisor of shutdowns or service interruptions and report safety concerns and equipment malfunctions.
- Assume and/or perform additional duties as requested.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, boiler, or related hospital utility systems.
- Health‑care setting experience preferred.
- Trade or vocational experience.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Current California driver’s license.
- At hiring: licensed or certified in HVAC/R, California MECH certification, associate’s degree in a related field, military experience, or 10 years of plant operations experience.
