Job Description & How to Apply Below
Top of Temecula is hiring Summer Ambassadors to visit local businesses throughout the Temecula Valley, make friendly introductions, and help business owners claim their free listings on the platform.
This is a people-first role. You'll walk into local shops, restaurants, salons, and offices, introduce yourself, and let the owner or manager know their business is already listed on Top of Temecula — and that they can claim and update their profile for free. You'll leave them with a personalized card showing their listing, current category and ranking information, and a QR code to get started.
WhatYou'll Do
- Visit assigned local businesses in Temecula, Murrieta, and surrounding areas
- Introduce Top of Temecula to business owners and managers
- Hand out personalized claim cards with each business's listing and claim link
- Answer basic questions about the platform (training provided)
- Log visits and track which businesses claim their listings
- Represent Top of Temecula professionally and positively in the community
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking to adults in a professional setting
- Dependable and self-motivated — you'll manage your own schedule and routes
- Familiar with the Temecula Valley (you know your way around town)
- Organized enough to track your visits and follow up when needed
- Genuinely interested in local businesses and the community
- $17/hour base pay
- Bonus for every verified business claim generated through your outreach
- The more effective you are, the more you earn
- Flexible hours — you choose when you work within business operating hours (generally weekdays and Saturdays, 10 AM–5 PM)
- You'll be assigned a specific territory (Old Town, Wine Country, Jefferson Ave, Winchester Rd, Murrieta, etc.) so there's no overlap with other ambassadors
- Typical commitment: 10–20 hours per week, but we're flexible
- Summer seasonal role running approximately June through August 2026
- Ages 16+
- Applicants under 18 must have parent/guardian permission and a valid California work permit prior to starting
- Reliable transportation to your assigned territory
- A working smartphone for logging visits and communicating with the team
You don't need to be a marketing expert. We provide full training on:
- What Top of Temecula is and how to explain it in 30 seconds
- How the claim process works
- How to handle common questions from business owners
- What to do when a business is busy or not interested
- Best practices for making a great first impression
