Public Works Heavy Equipment Operator

The position requires two dedicated individuals for a full-time role as Equipment Operators. Candidates must possess a valid Ontario Class DZ license along with mechanical skills and a commitment to public service. You will be tasked with operating heavy machinery, performing snow removal, and assisting with essential public works functions to maintain community integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment for snow clearing and road maintenance

• Maintain public sidewalks and properties efficiently

• Collect waste and assist with general labor duties

• Support water and wastewater management operations

• Attend necessary training and safety programs

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Valid Province of Ontario Class DZ license

• Proven mechanical aptitude for equipment operation

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations
