Property Accountant

A well-established commercial real estate organization is seeking a Property Accountant to join its Tempe-based accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Perform month-end close and general ledger reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and vendor payment processing
• Generate tenant billings and manage accounts receivable activity
• Monitor cash balances and complete bank reconciliations
• Maintain lease abstracts, rent schedules, and property setups within accounting systems
• Process owner distributions and real estate tax payments
• Assist with annual budgets, CAM reconciliations, and year-end reporting
• Support 1099 preparation and compliance activities
• Communicate regularly with internal teams and external ownership groups

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
• 3-5+ years of commercial property accounting experience
• MRI experience strongly preferred (recent Yardi experience required if no MRI)
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
• CPA-track candidates preferred (not required)
