Tax Preparer

This Tax Preparer role supports an established yet growing CPA firm with a strong reputation and long‑tenured team. The position is an IN PERSON, hands‑on and focused on preparing accurate tax returns while supporting a diverse client base. We expect to provide clients with excellent tax planning advice for better results in future years.

• Prepare individual and business tax returns of varying complexity
• Review financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Support tax compliance and filing requirements
• Assist with year‑end processes and deadlines
• Work with team to gather information and answer questions
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation
• Improvement on clients tax returns year over year

• Experience preparing tax returns
• Background in a CPA firm or client service environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines, especially during tax season
• Proficiency with tax software and accounting systems
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with clients

• Experience with Pro Series and Drake
• Experience with multiple clients or entities
• Exposure to both individual and business returns
• Familiarity with Quick Books or similar accounting systems
• Established firm with 20+ years in business
• Professional, supportive, and collaborative culture
• Standard 40‑hour workweeks outside of tax season
• Busy tax season, but lighter and respected off‑season schedules
