Accountant, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting

$67,200-$79,800, bonus eligible

We are a leading brewer with iconic brands such as Michelob ULTRA, Busch Light, Budweiser, Bud Light, Stella Artois, Cutwater Spirits, and multiple craft brands.

The Staff Accountant will perform complex work assisting in the maintenance of the company’s accounting and various platforms. This position works under the direction of the Controller and with the company’s departmental management and functional leaders to maintain sound accounting practices and teach employees the importance of stewardship and strong financial practices.

• Oversee accounts payable, receivables and other accounting-based operations
• Analyze major accounts and prepare monthly reconciliation of subsidiary accounts to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy of all general ledger accounts
• Develop and implement record keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures related to billing, processing payments, and other accounts payable and receivable activities
• Maintain adequate OBeer ERP and Toast knowledge and perform overall system maintenance
• Execute SOPs for purchasing, procurement, accounting, and financial controls
• Identify and resolve problems, inconsistencies and suggest appropriate corrective procedures
• Train staff on the importance of sound accounting practices and relevant SOPs
• Communicate, coordinate, and train accounting policies, practices, and procedures with employees, officials, vendors, reporting agencies, clients, customers, and the public
• Reconcile inventory and ensure proper inventory control processes, uploading counts and reviewing variances on a timely basis
• Assist in time‑sensitive month‑end close for the craft brewery and support federal, state, local, or internal audits of company policies, procedures, or transactions
• Perform any other tasks as assigned

• Undergraduate degree in a business field, preferably Accounting, or related experience
• 2+ years of accounting experience providing information to management
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
• Experience with SAP accounting software preferred
• Experience with Toast restaurant software preferred
• Beer‑industry experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced formulas and Pivot Tables
• Must possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of database, internet, inventory, order processing, spreadsheet, and word processing software
• Possesses critical thinking skills and can work independently or in group settings
• Have a positive attitude and a continuous mindset of contributing to positive company culture
• Perform work in a sitting position primarily; job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and light lifting
