Job Details

We are looking for a motivated Construction Accountant to join the team and support a variety of accounting and bookkeeping functions.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants more than a repetitive accounting role. You’ll gain hands-on experience across AP, AR, billing, job costing, reconciliations, and month-end accounting while learning how the numbers connect directly to active construction projects and field operations.

While solid construction experience and Viewpoint Spectrum knowledge are ideal, the team is also open to candidates with light construction accounting or bookkeeping experience who are eager to learn and grow. Candidates with a strong accounting foundation, and the motivation to build a career in construction accounting are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Be Doing
Support accounting for active construction and infrastructure projects
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare customer invoices and support project billing
Track project costs and maintain accurate job cost records
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Assist with journal entries and month-end close
Review vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
Work with project managers to research billing and cost discrepancies
Assist with reporting, audits, and special accounting projects
Take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow

What We’re Looking For
Accounting, bookkeeping, AP, AR, billing, or related experience
Open to candidates with minimal professional experience who are eager to learn and grow
Construction industry experience is preferred
Viewpoint Spectrum experience is highly preferred but not required
Exposure to job costing or project accounting is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable learning new systems and processes
Positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to build a long-term accounting career
