Payroll Operations Specialist | Expense & Payroll Processing

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Operations Specialist to support payroll operations, expense processing, and employee support within a high-volume, multi-state environment.

This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret policies, review documentation, and resolve employee inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process expense report data accurately and meet required deadlines
• Review audit reports, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections
• Apply company policies and government regulations to payroll and expense processing
• Research and resolve employee questions related to payroll and expenses
• Review contracts and support specialized workforce groups, including union employees
• Maintain accurate records to support payroll processing and reduce payment errors
• Assist with system testing, process improvements, and special projects
• Communicate issues and discrepancies to payroll leadership

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a high-volume, multi-state payroll environment
• Experience with expense report processing and/or Concur required.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and solve problems independently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience interpreting policies and maintaining compliance
