The Experienced Automotive Service Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and builds Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Auto Nation as a care‑giver for vehicle safety and reliability.

The compensation range for this position starts at $18–$37+ per hour, based on experience, trainings, and certifications, and includes a bonus component for longevity, proficiency and overrides.

We’re looking for an experienced Auto Technician or Mechanical Specialist to join our team. As an Auto Technician, you’ll perform vehicle repairs in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Your attention to detail makes you a valuable asset as you ensure repairs are completed on time and deliver top‑notch work to delight customers. In this role, you’ll interact daily with customers, service advisors, other technicians, parts associates, cashiers, sales associates and managers.

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs when authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi‑point inspections to recommend actions that ensure safety and reliability.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of technician tools not normally inventoried by the service department as “special tools.”
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory‑sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail, organization, and follow‑up skills.
• Valid in‑state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
