Entry-level Buyer – Tempe, ArizonaThis position presents an excellent opportunity for an individual who possesses strong attention to detail and organizational skills. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in complex problem‑solving, be adept at multitasking, enjoy working closely with our technicians, exhibit excellent communication skills with customers and vendors, and have a keen interest in a fast‑paced career environment.
We are seeking someone who can effectively handle various tasks simultaneously, ensuring that all aspects of the role are addressed with precision. The ability to analyze intricate problems and devise innovative solutions will be crucial. Collaborating with our technicians to coordinate and streamline operations will be a key component of this role, requiring strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Additionally, the candidate should possess exceptional communication abilities to engage effectively with customers and vendors, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring seamless communication for overall customer satisfaction and partnership success.
Job Responsibilities- Purchasing Materials:
Responsible for purchasing materials based on job specifications, reading and analyzing documents, and administering online order systems. - Order Management:
Consolidate requests, check pricing and discounts, and ensure accurate and timely placement of orders. - Addressing Inquiries:
Promptly respond to inquiries associated with orders, providing information on shipment dates, freight type, material handling, and related details. - Communication with Vendors:
Maintain constant communication with vendors to expedite shipping and meet shipping and receiving expectations. - Order Acknowledgements:
Process order acknowledgements, verify product correctness, ensure quantity accuracy, verify pricing, and ensure invoice compliance. - Customer Service:
Communicate ETA’s every step of the way to provide the customer a great experience. - Customer Satisfaction:
Communicate daily with the dispatch group to address any issues that may negatively impact customer satisfaction, proactively identifying and resolving potential concerns. - Quotes:
Send quotes to customers, understand how to work them up, follow up, and turn the quote into a sale.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- Computer proficiency required, including strong background in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Possess good organizational skills, problem‑solving abilities, strong attention to detail, self‑motivation, and aptitude for math.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with contacts, internal and external, at all levels, with a high sense of urgency.
- Technical purchasing experience in the door, hardware, or security industry is a plus, but not required.
- Procurement background helpful, but not required.
