This position plays an important role in advancing the Maricopa Community Colleges District classification and compensation initiatives by developing and revising job classification specifications. Reviewing job functions and levels, ensuring standards are accurately defined and aligned with organizational requirements, legal compliance, and market conditions. The position will also perform some data analysis to support pay structures, equity reviews, system integrity, and decision‑making recommendations.

Based on business needs, this position may be assigned to perform any combination of a broader range of classification and compensation functions consistent with the job classification specification, including position management, policy and program research, stakeholder consultation, and preparation of reports and/or other deliverables.
