Job Description Responsibilities
- Responsible for supplier market research and obtaining documentation for solicitation efforts (drawings, scorecards, historical purchases).
- Evaluates supplier information to determine most desirable suppliers.
- The Strategic Sourcing Specialist II will help drive the completion of compliant FAR
15 packages and work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure strategic alignment with program requirements. - Execute FAR
15 subcontracts IAW FAR, DFARS and applicable regulations. - Support negotiations (price, terms & conditions)
- Manage key program suppliers.
- Build supplier strategies to enable the best overall value to client.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, L &C, Business, or Finance
- Bachelor's Degree
- DoD procurement subcontracting experience (FAR
15) - Detailed understanding of DoD Procurement Life Cycle
- Experience with Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Strong negotiation skills and processes
- Supply chain experience
- Procurement experience within defense, aerospace, or similar industry
- Experience managing subcontracts FFP, CP, CPIF, etc.
- Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD)
- Ability to understand and negotiate terms and conditions
15 / DoD Procurement Experience

Assesses ability to analyze supplier capability, past performance, and risk—core to this role.
“What is your experience supporting or participating in price or T &C negotiations, and how have you worked with cross‑functional teams (e.g., pricing, programs, engineering) to build negotiation positions?”
Purpose:
Screens for negotiation readiness and the ability to align with internal stakeholders on compliant subcontract strategies.
