Payroll Business Partner

Overview

ADP is hiring a Payroll Business Partner I for its Professional Employer Organization (PEO) solution. The role serves as the primary client liaison for employer‑level concerns, providing first‑level support primarily over the phone. This position requires a deep understanding of federal, state, and local employment and tax laws to ensure clients remain compliant.

• Act as a trusted payroll advisor and client service professional, providing timely and accurate advice around payroll compliance.
• Troubleshoot client and product challenges, educating clients and developing partnerships with stakeholders.
• Deliver payroll solutions that positively impact client business and create client retention and growth.
• Manage client interactions over the phone, email, and chat, striving to exceed client expectations with clear, professional communication.
• Maintain a metrics‑driven, structured day, organizing yourself to handle a high volume of inbound calls and varying peak workloads.
• Ensure that clients remain compliant with all applicable federal, state, or local employment and tax laws.

• 0‑1 year of client and/or service experience.
• Ability to work overtime hours during peak seasons.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• Relevant experience (e.g., military service) recognized and valued.

• Certifications such as Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
