Job Description
As a Procurement Buyer II at Honeywell, you will drive procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and strategic alignment. You will oversee purchasing processes and collaborate to achieve objectives, working as part of a Spares team within the ISC Purchasing function. Your responsibilities include owning and managing complex requirements to enhance supplier relationships, improve delivery fidelity, and support continuous improvements in coordination with Suppliers, Purchasing, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing to meet quarterly revenue/margin and customer delivery targets.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the quarterly Spares revenue target(s) are achieved for an Operation Center, Global region and/or a specific customer program.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Planning and global Honeywell manufacturing plants to identify and resolve Build of Material (BOM) part shortages required to complete end‑assembly parts.
- Interact with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to compress lead‑time, identify clear issues, actions, owners and timing, and report daily progress to Director and higher leadership.
- Escalate to cross‑functional leadership to identify risk, problem‑solve, remove barriers, drive accountability and formally present the supplier recovery plan with milestones and commitments.
- Review MPS plans during execution and planning windows to identify shortages, providing direction that ensures coordinated product monitoring and completion of the production cycle as scheduled.
- Drive a daily cadence with clear issues, actions, owners and timing, conducting cross‑functional reviews as required, and develop recovery plans.
- Purchase goods, materials and services as needed to meet company revenue/margin requirements.
- Identify opportunities and develop business justification to support internal allocation of finished goods to meet revenue targets.
- Ensure parts are loaded into the Command Center and attend war room/sunrise review meetings for updates and escalations.
- Engage with Focus Supplier Recover (FSR) and Rate Readiness (RR) leaders to develop systematic support and recovery solutions for both short‑ and long‑term material shortages.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex tasks in program management, project management, customer service, supply chain, operations, procurement or planning.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, planning, logistics and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, focused on delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to drive project success.
- U.S. citizenship.
- College degree B.S., MBA in Supply Chain, Purchasing or equivalent work‑related experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of purchasing/ERP systems (SAP highly desired).
- Strong communication skills and a team player mindset.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills to prioritize critical tasks and problem‑solve to achieve results.
- Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
- Three or more years of experience in Supply Chain, Sourcing, Production Planning, Purchasing, Project Management or Program Management.
- Proficient use of basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
