Drive regional procurement initiatives for Transportation and Logistics (T & L) services, in alignment with business Leadership as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan. You will have regional responsibility for driving competitive supply strategies to achieve the lowest Total Cost and best in class service for your region. You will work with suppliers to reduce Working capital via Negotiation planning and execution, High Growth Region Sourcing, Value Engineering, and Sole/Single Source elimination.
You will manage Supplier Performance to support your category and/or region and ensure supply continuity. You may be managing several projects in a dynamic fast‑paced environment. You will ensure compliance with company business policies and procedures, Export /Import regulations.
- Develop and complete strategic sourcing T & L plans aligned with regional business requirements and growth;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to accurately capture logistics business requirements from suppliers, manufacturing and end customer sites.
- Structure and manage business requirements on comprehensive regional T & L data sets;
- Support evaluation and identification of strategic suppliers and drive value based partnerships;
- Lead RFIs, RFQs, supplier evaluations, supplier selection and negotiations;
- Manage service contracts with logistics service providers (LSPs) and support onboarding of carriers with operational performance improvements
- Drive operationalization (including productivity/savings projects and value prop.) through analysis of complex data sets
- Lead LSPs relationship development and management including commercial escalation in support of operational execution;
- Support market research, benchmark, spend analysis and T & L Cost structures (market analysis, global technology and market dynamics)
- Drive fast T & L strategy execution while managing Global Commodity Strategies, including spend analysis;
- Stakeholder management:
Align with Site Sales, Marketing, Technology, Business, Operations, Finance and Quality and Other Honeywell Businesses - Manage T & L service contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions (i.e. Improve Working Capital through Payment Terms extensions, Vendor Managed Inventories Inventory, and Lead time reductions)
- Assist in Site Tactical Procurement escalations, reconciliations, and reporting as required;
- Support Logistics operational goals through continuous improvement initiatives for modes of transportation in order to optimize and balance cost with Service delivery;
- Experience in Transportation and Logistics environments.
- 10 or more years Experience in supply chain negotiations and building strategy across different businesses
- Demonstrated Business and Financial Acumen
- Expertise in data analysis, MS Excel, and Tableau / MS PBI
- Startup mindset and experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or Higher) in Business or international trade related;
- Working experience Leading a sourcing category related to Transportation and Logistics;
- Project Management and/or Supply Chain Experience;
- Professional Certifications in Supply Chain/Contract Management;
- Team Leader experience in Supply Management;
- Understanding of trade controls, incoterms and Experience in international trade compliance
- Experience with SAP, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
- Experience with TMS, WMS and continuous improvements methodologies (Six Sigma and Lean Tools, etc)
