Job Description
Collaborates with market sector champions to pursue business development opportunities and implement overall marketing strategies for a defined market. Assists in the development and preparation of market research, lead generation, pre‑win strategies, proposals, and any other needs to successfully obtain new business. This position includes two steps (Step I and Step II), providing progression based on skill and experience. Step I is for individuals with 1‑4 years of experience in this role, while Step II is for employees with 5 or more years of experience and/or assigned to larger or more complex projects or markets.
Key Responsibilities- Assists in the development of pre‑win strategies.
- Assists the Business Development Manager with public relation activities.
- Coordinates relationship management meetings with key industry contacts and business partners.
- Executes profit center marketing plan.
- Manages relationships in one or more market sectors/areas.
- Participates in activities to support the company’s strategic planning efforts.
- Schedules and records debriefs on all proposed projects, awarded or not.
- Skilled in the use of the company’s business development support tools (project database, CD library, photo library, etc.).
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of business development/marketing work in a construction related industry.
- 4+ years of marketing experience.
- BS degree required.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
- Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day.
- Will lift, push or pull objects (pounds) on an occasional basis.
- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
- Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
