Power Generation / Organizational Change Management Consultant – 10-month contract (not open to 3rd party C2C consultants, visa sponsorship not available)
Location: Hybrid position located in Tempe, AZ
Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Power Generation/Organizational Change Management (OCM) Consultant for a long‑term contract in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OCM, delivering and executing full OCM programs and communicating them to executive leadership. This role requires past or current utility industry experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to lead meetings effectively. Experience with power generation, SCADA systems, infrastructure, outage management systems, power plants, and working with third‑party systems integrators is highly desirable.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Develop and implement change impact assessments.
- Deliver change impact assessments to executive leadership.
- Turn key stakeholders into change champions.
- Manage stakeholders and lead meetings.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on multiple work streams.
- Lead OCM activities effectively without official authority.
- Apply knowledge of power generation, SCADA, infrastructure, outage management systems, power plants, and third‑party systems integrators to support project goals.
- Create an executable change management plan with key milestones and relative timing.
- Develop an approach to project‑level OCM efforts that integrates with program‑level OCM where appropriate.
- Ensure leadership and stakeholder alignment.
- Conduct stakeholder impact analysis.
- Document change management strategy and plan.
- Document communications plan.
- 10+ years of OCM experience.
- Proven experience creating and presenting change impact assessments to executive leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management and meeting leadership skills.
- Utility industry experience.
- Excellent soft skills to lead OCM activities without official authority.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to new challenges.
- Familiarity with power generation, SCADA, infrastructure, outage management systems, power plants, and third‑party systems integrators.
Compensation: $105.00 – $110.00 per hour (pay range estimate, not adjusted for geographic differential).
