A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, are seeking a Lead for Infrastructure and Laboratory Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across research, instructional, and operational environments that support the missions of both Schools.
This position operates across the Tempe and West campuses and supports operations across multiple buildings, campuses, and complex research, instructional, office, support, and shared-use environments. The role serves as the School-level lead for infrastructure, facilities coordination, safety program implementation, operational readiness, and space management activities across both Schools.
The position supports research continuity, instructional operations, and School operations by helping ensure facilities, laboratories, offices, support spaces, and shared-use environments remain safe, compliant, functional, and operationally effective. The role provides visibility into infrastructure conditions, safety performance, operational issues, space utilization, and emerging risks through reporting, coordination, process management, and continuous improvement efforts.
This position reports directly to the ECEE School Director and works closely with SEI leadership while receiving functional guidance from FSE Facilities, Space Planning, and Safety leadership to support alignment with college-wide operational standards, infrastructure planning efforts, space planning initiatives, and laboratory safety practices.
The position does not perform hands-on maintenance, trade work, or technical repair activities, but is responsible for leading coordination efforts to ensure operational, safety, compliance, infrastructure, and space-related issues are appropriately prioritized, communicated, tracked, escalated, and resolved across multiple stakeholder groups.
This role operates with a high degree of independence and is expected to exercise judgment in prioritizing operational needs, coordinating responses, escalating risks, and supporting long-term infrastructure, safety, and space planning efforts across multiple campuses and organizational units.
Position Salary Range: $66,200- $82,800 DOE

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, applied science, technology, facilities management, construction management, or a related field.
- Experience leading operational coordination efforts across complex research, instructional, or operational environments.
- Experience supporting infrastructure planning, facilities coordination, operational risk management, or space management activities.
- Experience working across multiple campuses, departments, facilities, or stakeholder groups.
- Experience supporting research and instructional environments within a higher education, research, healthcare, or technical setting.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple operational initiatives and complex issues.
- Experience supporting laboratory safety programs, regulatory compliance activities, inspections, audits, or corrective action management.
- Experience supporting space management, space utilization analysis, occupancy tracking, or facility planning activities.
- Experience maintaining operational, safety, facility, laboratory, or space-related data and reporting systems.
- Experience developing dashboards, performance metrics, reporting tools, or operational tracking systems.
