This position is responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of paving equipment including but not limited to screed, roller, and paver to efficiently apply asphalt products on subgrade of highways, roadways, and related surfaces to meet specifications required by the job.

• Operate heavy equipment, specifically paver, screed,Gannon, and compaction equipment ina safe and efficient manner.
• Make operating adjustments for obtaining proper depth, grade and finished cross section.
• Maintain and make operating adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site.
• Mayassistin the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades,cones,and other traffic control devices.
• Other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or GED, preferred.

• 1-2 years ofrelated asphalt and roadconstructionexperience
• 1-2 years ofasphalt paving equipment experience.

• Ability tooperateasphaltequipmentwithin designatedareawith attention to detail_._
• Ability to work, day, swing, and night shifts (occasionally extended hours).
• Ability to work in constant exposure to outside elements, in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work insafetysensitive constructionsetting, including exposure to moving machinery and heavy equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced and complex environment.
• Ability to squat, crawl, and work in awkward positions/confined spaces.
• Physical dexterity, stamina, and excellent hand-eye coordination with ability to: grasp, assemble, and lift objects, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces, squat, bend, climb ladders onto equipment or other objects, and potentially lie down.
• Lifting, pushing,pulling ofheavy items weighing up to 50 lbs. or more.
