Assistant Project Manager – Municipal Projects CHASSE Building Team

CHASSE Building Team is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Municipal Projects to help lead the successful delivery of public and municipal construction projects throughout Arizona.

The APM works alongside the Project Manager and Superintendent from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for a construction professional ready to take greater ownership of project financials, procurement, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, documentation, and owner communication.

• Partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to execute projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Assist with project budgets, cost projections, change orders, commitments, and monthly financial reviews.
• Support subcontractor procurement, bid leveling, buyout, scope development, and subcontract administration.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, drawings, procurement logs, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with municipal owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners to resolve project challenges.
• Support scheduling, material procurement, inspections, and field coordination.
• Participate in OAC meetings, LEAN planning, milestone pull plans, and weekly work planning.
• Assist with project closeout, punch lists, warranties, as-builts, O&M documentation, and final turnover.
• Maintain CHASSE's standards for safety, quality, accountability, and exceptional client service.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Municipal, public-sector, civic, education, or similar project experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, contracts, change orders, scheduling, and cost management.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive results.
