Job Title: Short-Form Videographer
Reports to: Marketing Director
Schedule: Must be available to work full-time 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday-Friday, in our Tempe office and available for overtime during peak season, special events or the occasional evening or weekend.
We are changing the world...one flannel at a time. We’re a little non-traditional, a little on the edge, but that’s what makes us such a fun company to work for.
Motorcycles, skateboards, low-riders, hardcore/punk music, and flannels in our closets. That’s who we are and we were tired of flannels that didn’t fit well, wrinkled, shrunk, and faded. We worked hard and did it better and rolled out the first Dixxon flannel in 2013 and we haven’t looked back since! We continue to be all about growth and change!
We’re looking for a Tik Tok-obsessed content creator who lives and breathes short-form video, understands internet culture, and knows how to turn raw moments into scroll-stopping content that actually performs.
Position Overview We are seeking a creative, fast-moving Tik Tok Content Creator / Short-Form Video Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is hyper-focused on creating, publishing, and optimizing Tik Tok content designed to grow brand awareness, engagement, and cultural relevance.
You will own the Tik Tok content pipeline—from ideation to filming to editing to posting—while staying deeply tapped into platform trends, audience behavior, and performance signals. This is a creator role, not a traditional videographer role. Speed, authenticity, and cultural instinct matter just as much as polish.
Responsibilities:
Tik Tok Content Strategy & Creation:
- Conceptualize, film, edit, and publish high-performing Tik Tok content that aligns with Dixxon’s brand voice, culture, and product drops.
- Create a consistent mix of trend-driven, narrative, educational, lifestyle, and product-forward content
- Translate brand campaigns, flannel drops, collaborations, and lifestyle moments into Tik Tok-native storytelling.
Platform-Specific Growth Tactics:
- Execute Tik Tok strategies proven to drive growth, including:
- Strong 3-second hooks and pattern interrupts
- Native storytelling formats (POVs, day-in-the-life, behind-the-scenes, voiceover storytelling)
- Trend adaptation (sounds, formats, memes) without losing brand identity
- Loop-worthy endings to increase watch time Caption and on-screen text strategies optimized for retention and discoverability
- Stay ahead of Tik Tok trends, features, and algorithm shifts—and apply them quickly.
Filming & Editing:
- Capture authentic, Tik Tok-native footage using mobile devices and/or lightweight camera setups.
- Edit content with speed and intention, prioritizing pacing, subtitles, sound selection, and visual energy.
- Apply basic motion graphics, text overlays, and effects that feel native to Tik Tok—not overproduced.
Collaboration & Brand Integration:
- Work closely with the Marketing Director and creative team to align Tik Tok content with broader campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal talent, ambassadors, and creators to produce UGC-style and creator-led content.
- Direct on-camera talent to deliver natural, engaging performances that feel real—not scripted.
Performance & Optimization:
- Monitor Tik Tok performance metrics (watch time, retention, engagement, saves, shares).
- Iterate quickly based on what’s working—doubling down on formats that hit and killing what doesn’t.
- Assist in testing content variations (hooks, edits, captions, posting times)
Asset Management & Workflow:
- Organize and maintain Tik Tok content libraries, drafts, and raw footage.
- Maintain a consistent posting cadence and content pipeline.
- Assist with creative planning, shot lists, and weekly content calendars.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience creating Tik Tok-first content for a brand, creator, or lifestyle company.
- Strong portfolio or Tik Tok account showcasing organic growth, engagement, or viral-leaning content.
- Deep understanding of Tik Tok culture, trends, sounds, and creator formats.
- Strong instincts for storytelling, pacing, hooks, and audience psychology.
- Comfortable filming and editing on mobile and desktop tools (Cap Cut, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
- Ability to move…
